Hi, I’m Rik Saggers, Founder of Art on the Vines.
As a full-time artist, I’ve spent many years exhibiting my work and being part of the creative community. I wanted to create something that celebrated the incredible artists we have in our region, while making art feel welcoming, accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
And what better place to do that than amongst the vines?
Art on the Vines brings together exceptional artists, beautiful vineyards and local communities to create something a little different from a traditional art exhibition.
Our events are relaxed, welcoming experiences where you can discover original artwork, meet the artists behind it, enjoy great local wine, music and entertainment, try something creative yourself, or simply spend a wonderful day in a beautiful setting.
You don’t need to know anything about art to enjoy Art on the Vines.
You might be a lifelong collector, someone looking for your first original artwork, a family searching for a great day out, or simply someone who has never stepped inside an art exhibition before.
Everyone is welcome.
For me, that is what Art on the Vines is really about — giving talented artists a platform, giving people the opportunity to discover creativity, and bringing communities together through art.
What began with an idea has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and we’re only just getting started.

We are currently organising our schedules for 2027 so work is being carried out on the website adding the events and their details, so please bear with us while this is done. Some of the links are being finalised so are inactive. Many thanks.

COMING SOON -Which art medium will you fall in love with?
Have you ever fancied trying your hand at art but wasn't sure which medium or style you fancied? Come and join us and try them all, in a unique one day experience.
Art speed dating is coming soon. Four professional artists, Four 1 1/2 hour tutorials, Four completely different mediums to try! A fun, relaxed day, suitable for everyone, whether you are a total beginner or already enjoy participating in artistic hobbies, all are welcome.
Two sessions in the morning followed by a break for lunch and two more sessions in the afternoon and you get to take home all 4 artworks you create too. All materials required will be provided on the day.
